Chapter 19 "Vienna"

Vienna has, for starters, the best statues in all of Europe. I couldn't believe it. Everywhere. Men fighting lions, great kings of old and stories of centuries ago cast into stone and told to this day. Not a very large city with tons to do, but definately worth a visit. It's many cafes are exquisite and definately worth checking out. Once again, I would recommend the ever-so-favourite "riding bikes, drinking beers! Drinking beers, riding bikes!"

A city that can be seen quickly with the help of a bike, its amazing. Statues and palaces are around every corner. The detail on these things are amazing. Portraying men like gods with their depiction of battle, these statues stand tall and are easily seen. It was fun gathering a cities history together simply by trying to piece each statue with a point in time. There is even a statue of a man, not sure what he did to deserve it, but he is about to get his head beaten to a pulp.

If seeing statues all day tires you out, then stop in at the cafes. An afternoon coffee definately gets you going to continue the day with more sites and things to do. Simply sit down, let the waiter come to you, and enjoy. The crowd is extremely diverse as well. You could have anyone from a local teen, to a lawyer sitting beside you eating and drinking at the same place. It creates a very humbling feeling. Be sure to learn your coffee culture before sitting down to really enjoy a treat. My personal favorite is a Mokka(pure black) or an Eiskaffee(hot coffee with vanilla ice cream.)

That's pretty much it when it comes to Vienna for me. It's nice, quiet and beautiful. Most likely a place I would like to return to later in life with a family.
